Easter bell trail

In Nordenau

On the Easter bell trail in Schmallenberg Sauerland this is particularly impressive. Over a distance of around eleven kilometers, the varied path stretches from Nordenau starting from Sauerländer through the mountain landscape. Along the way, there are always great views of the vast forests of the Schmallenberger Sauerland. But the really special thing about the trail: the beautiful heralds of spring accompany us everywhere. They stretch their bright yellow flowers into the sky and nod slightly in the wind. The flowers bloom along the edge of the path, but also across entire meadows, showing us the way. The spectacle can be marveled at every year. They are at their most beautiful between March and April, depending on the temperature and position of the sun.

To the daffodil trail

The Easter daffodil trail has only officially existed since 2021, but the love for the bright heralds of spring began much earlier. The people in Nordenau donated several thousand bulbs in 2017, which were planted in the surrounding area. The yellow looked so beautiful that more and more bulbs were planted in the ground in the following years. In the meantime, countless daffodils have been planted and a veritable sea of flowers has emerged. So that you can admire them all, the daffodil trail was created in 2021, which leads past all the early bloomers.
