To the Freizeitwelt Sauerland...

Every village in Schmallenberg Sauerland has at least one playground of its own. In total, there are more than 150 playgrounds and football pitches. Not including the private play paradises of many hosts in our region. It's hard to find the most beautiful ones. We gave it a try and present a few special playgrounds.

An extensive area with a great nature playground awaits daring explorers. A barefoot path and a village of huts, crawling tunnels and a giant slide - the playground in Bödefeld makes you happy. In the immediate vicinity you will also find the game reserve Bödefeld with daily game feeding at 6.30 pm.

Directly at the Fledermaustunnel this beautiful rest area and playground invites you to take a long break. Unpack the picnic you brought with you and enjoy the peace and quiet and the landscape. A cozy forest sofa, benches and a shelter at the small hut are inviting.

Children will love the nest swing and ropeway or the small, nearby stream. Information boards provide descriptive information about the surrounding nature and a small herb bed grows local garden herbs.

Europe's longest play equipment is located directly at the Center Parc Medebach - the Aventura SpielBerg. Over a length of 160 meters, it's all about letting off steam, climbing and playing - free climbing fun for the whole family. Adults can take a seat on the surrounding benches and there is a small course at the foot of the mountain for very young visitors.

After so much exercise, the "Hasenstall" invites you to stop for coffee and cake or small regional delicacies. Including a great view over the Medebach Bay.

The goal is quickly explained: to sink the ball into the hole with as few strokes as possible. The path, or rather the course, is sometimes somewhat treacherous - depending on which obstacles are built in. Skill and a good eye are required here. After the tee shot, you can continue playing where the ball stops. But only if the obstacle has already been overcome; otherwise it's back to square one: All back to square one. The number of strokes required is recorded, whereby each player has a total of six attempts (then seven penalty points are recorded). Simple rules for a very varied and enjoyable family game. With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card, the entrance fee to all mini golf courses is reduced!
