The holiday region Eslohe with new internet presence

Extensive information now available online

Eslohe. Make you want to go on holiday, arouse emotions and interest in the region, present a variety of topics to different lifestyle groups, entertain, inspire, bind. And, of course, provide comprehensive information. All this is provided by the new website of the Eslohe holiday region, which was launched recently. The new site, optimized for mobile devices, offers on the one hand all the information the guest needs for his holiday decision and on the other hand is on site always present and competent "travel companion". With no opening or waiting times, it provides excursion tips, weather information, tips for refreshments and regional information en masse. It is thus the perfect complement to the modern guest information desk at Esloh City Hall, which was reopened at the end of last year. When it comes to up-to-date information, the staff of the Esloher Tourist Organisation are of course also dependent on the help of all Eslohers. Information about events, attractive offers for locals and guests or other current topics are welcome and can be incorporated directly into the site.

User guidance optimized
Especially for tablet and smartphone, the new website offers optimally prepared information in a clearly arranged way. A glance at the so-called "mega menu" is enough to find your way around quickly. "Anyone who looks at this navigation menu knows within seconds where to click to get the information they are looking for and is then served in detail", says Hubertus Schmidt, head of tourism.

The new website offers guests and locals alike a high level of content. The numerous database information on hosts, events, hiking tours or gastronomy offers alone represent a comprehensive service for the user. It thus follows the concept of microsites for tourist offices in Schmallenberg and Eslohe. In this system, every town has the opportunity to create an attractive internet presence for manageable costs and with the support of the Schmallenberger Sauerland Tourismus. Schmidt: "The Internet is our most important sales channel in terms of overnight and day tourism. If you want to be successful here, you have to constantly provide up-to-date information and content and link web content with social media. But our website should also be fun for the local citizens and offer attractive, up-to-date information"
