Schmallenberg
Today, rating portals play an important role in the choice of a holiday destination. Many recreation seekers orient themselves by the relevant opinion of the others and select the best rated accommodations for their vacation. One of the largest portals, HolidayCheck, is now in its 13th year and is presenting its coveted award, which this year went to a total of 705 hotels in 38 countries worldwide. It is based on hotel ratings awarded on the portal over a period of 12 months. Only 155 of all accommodation establishments in Germany received the HolidayCheck Award. Four of the first ten establishments in NRW are located in the Schmallenberger Sauerland alone, which is certainly unparalleled in this density. In first place in NRW was once again the mountain village of Liebesgrün, in fourth place the Hotel Rimberg, in fifth place the Familotel Ebbinghof, which received the award for the fourth time, and in sixth place the Hotel Jagdhaus Wiese. In the Family Holidays NRW segment, these placings are each one place better. This proves once again that the consistent focus of the hosts on quality has resulted in a clear lead
Successful also in special segments
It is also interesting to note that in the special target group "skiing holidays", which can be filtered at HolidayCheck, three award places were awarded for NRW. They all go to companies from the Schmallenberger Sauerland. Two of the top 10 companies in the category "Holiday with dogs" are also based here. Tourism Director Hubertus Schmidt is pleased about the very good results: "Our establishments have been able to understand and fulfil the needs of the guests in their establishments. Especially the direct dialogue with the guests offers valuable tips and suggestions for improvements. Positive evaluations are both an incentive and a reward"
