Schmallenberg. At the end of last year the almost traditional waffle baking event took place in the rooms of the guest information centre in Schmallenberg. Coupled with Klaus-Peter Kappest's photo exhibition, the wood and tourism centre was a popular meeting point "between the days". The employees donated the proceeds of this campaign to the emergency care in their town area. Dr. Hans-Georg Grobbel from the Verein zur Förderung der Notfallversorgung e.V. explained at the cheque presentation: "Our association is a non-profit organization and is concerned with improving emergency care in the Schmallenberg urban area. This includes, for example, the installation of defibrillators and training in how to deal with injured people" Ines Ungemach, trainee of the Schmallenberger Sauerland Tourismus and organizer of this year's event, handed over the cheque for a total of 500,- €.
