Hiking bus
Relaxed to the most beautiful hiking destinations
The hiking bus takes you up to the most beautiful hiking destinations, romantic valleys and idyllic mountain villages. For example, take the bus from your vacation resort to the starting point of your hike and hike back. Alternatively, you can also drive to the destination of your hike and take the hiking bus to the starting point and then hike back to your car at your leisure.
The hiking bus runs from Tuesdays to Sundays along the Rothaar ridge and through the Lenne valley to the most beautiful hiking destinations and is free of charge for you with the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card free of charge.

Bad Fredeburg - Schmiedinghausen - Holthausen - Schmallenberg and back
The Schwammklöpper-Linie 474 runs from Bad Fredeburg, via Schmiedinghausen and Holthausen to the center of Schmallenberg. From June 5, there will even be weekend services. The new line, which is operated by a minibus, complements the public transport service for passengers from the northern part of Bad Fredeburg.

With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card you have the opportunity to use the "Ruf-Taxi" daily for a fee of €2 for adults and €1 for children. Three times a day at fixed departure times it drives a fixed route in the Sorpetal as well as in Westfeld and Ohlenbach along the stops listed below.
The call cab must be requested at least one hour before the desired departure time by calling 02972 921092.

The hiking cabs in the Schmallenberg Sauerland take you to the most beautiful stages and routes. Plan your day tour or relaxed circular hike through the beautiful landscape of the Schmallenberger Sauerland and the vacation region Eslohe. Holders of the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card pay a fare of €2 for adults and €1 for children.
When headwinds and inclines dampen your mood, the push of a button can change everything. It switches on a quiet, environmentally friendly electric motor that intervenes to provide support, depending on how steep the incline is and how much assistance you have set. E-bikes have conquered cycle tourism in the land of a thousand mountains. Joint cycling excursions for people with different levels of fitness have become a fun, nature-oriented vacation experience for everyone. Try it out for yourself. E-biking is really easy and great fun!

Big discounts at SauerlandBad and Co.
The benefits of the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card include a discounted visit to one of the swimming pools in our region. In concrete terms, this means that you have one entry to one of our pools per stay on weekdays (Mon. to Fri.) at a price of €2 for adults and €1 for children. [At SauerlandBad in Bad Fredeburg the discount applies for a maximum of 4 hours and not for the sauna].
This leisure pool offers everything to make a swimmer's heart happy. A large adventure pool, whirlpools and rain grotto, a fantastic sauna area with Gradierwerk and other refinements and, of course, a fantastic slide tower with the "Magic Eye".
Zum SauerlandBad...A pleasant 30° C surrounds you in the large indoor swimming pool at the Esselbad in Eslohe. A 45 m long water slide, whirlpool and sauna ensure that everyone in the family has a great day's swimming. With the first warm days of the year, the heated outdoor pool with its beautiful sunbathing lawn and beach volleyball court also opens.
Zum Esselbad...Small but nice, the friendly swimming pool invites you to Bödefeld invites you to do a few laps. A large main pool, a children's pool and a small sauna invite you to enjoy a relaxing swim.
Zum Hallenbad...As beautiful as by the sea... Almost. The Wellenfreibad in Schmallenberg offers "real" waves, a diving platform and deep pool, a family-friendly children's area and a large sunbathing lawn with a beach volleyball court. A paradise for mermaids and swimming frogs.
Zum Wellenbad...Karl-May Festival in Elspe
"Winnetou and the half-breed"
With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card you receive a heavily discounted admission to the 1st tier of the Karl May Festival in Elspe (only available at the box office on the day of the event). Adults pay €25 (instead of €35.90) and children €19 (instead of €28.90).
Pit-Pat
Pit-Pat combines mini golf with billiards. The game is played with a billiard cue on tables with various obstacles and hurdles built in. This means that people in wheelchairs can also take part in the game. With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card you can play a round on the new facility free of charge.
The course is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 - 12.00 & from 14.00 - 18.00 and is located Auf dem Eibel above the Schützenhalle in Wenholthausen.
Boating on the Sauerland lakes

Take the whole family to one of the beautiful reservoirs in the Sauerland. With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card you can travel at half price on the excursion boats of your choice on Hennesee*, Sorpesee, Möhnesee or Biggesee cruise.

Heilstollen Nordenau
With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card you receive a one-time free 30-minute admission to the Heilstollen Nordenau. There you can regenerate and take a deep breath, as the tunnel is virtually free of dust particles, pathogens and allergy-causing pollen.
The Heilstollen is open daily from 8:00 to 17:30. Admission is every half hour, for example at 8:00 am, 8:30 am or 9:00 am, and so on.
Fun in the snow for everyone

Our ski resorts are just right for anyone who loves fun in the snow on the slopes and likes it a little quieter. With the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card you can also make real savings: In the ski area Hunau in Bödefeld or at the Höhenlift in Schmallenberg you receive a 50% discount on a half-day ticket with the Guest Card. At the cross-country skiing center in Westfeld you can also get a free day ticket.

For example, you can enjoy a one-off discount on admission to the Wisent-Wildnis am Rothaarsteig (2,-€ for adults, 1,-€ for children) and to the indoor play paradise "THIKOS Kinderland" (weekdays, Mon. - Fri., 2,-€ for adults, 1,-€ for children). You can visit the DampfLandLeute museums free of charge and as often as you like. As an overnight guest in the Schmallenberg Sauerland and the vacation region Eslohe you will receive the Schmallenberger Sauerland Card in all accommodations affiliated with the tourism industry. The Schmallenberger Sauerland Card is valid from the day of arrival to the day of departure, but may not be used for arrival or departure (public transport). The Card is only accepted during the regular opening hours of the participating leisure facilities and on their separately designated event days. The card cannot be accepted during individually agreed opening hours. Children are defined as persons up to and including the age of 13.
