    Node systems

    Safely through Südwestfalen

With us, you can simply cycle along without losing your bearings. The "Knotenpunktsystem" makes it possible. It divides Sauerland and Siegerland-Wittgenstein into a honeycomb structure. The corner points of these "honeycombs" (= junctions) bear numbers that are repeated on signposts in the landscape. In addition, information boards at road and cycle path junctions provide information about the local network of paths. This means you can change your plans spontaneously and still arrive safely.

    Touring cycling / family cycling

Along former railroad lines, quiet rivers or rolling landscapes: Here you can cycle and enjoy in complete relaxation.

    Sauerlandradring

On the way along old railroad lines

84 kilometers on former railroad lines and the "Fledermaustunnel" - the Sauerlandradring introduces itself.

This route connects the towns of Finnentrop, Eslohe, Schmallenberg and Lennestadt. You can also add the 42 km long "HenneseeSchleife" which takes you to Meschede, there around the Hennesee and finally to the RuhrtalRadweg . Small museums, lovingly restored contemporary witnesses of former industrial and craft culture, natural adventure pools and a 700 m long Fledermaustunnel (open from April to October) make this tour a varied and enjoyable ride.

Temporary change for the Sauerlandradring: Currently the section between Schmallenberg and Saalhausen is currently being rerouted due to roadworks. Instead of the previous route along the edge of the forest behind the Kurpark, the cycle path will now probably run along the main road in Saalhausen. Please note that cyclists from the Lenne-river to the traffic circle behind Saalhausen only on the main road.

    HenneseeSchleife

The so-called "HenneseeSchleife" of the Sauerlandradring closes the gap to the well-known RuhrtalRadweg and is worth a cycle tour in its own right. It leads over 40 kilometers through the Wennetal and from Wennemen on the RuhrtalRadweg to the district town Meschede. Along the Henne and the eastern shore of the Hennesee, you will once again reach the Sauerlandradring.

    Short version "Across the villages"

For families, we have developed a short version of the Sauerlandradring route. A maximum of 54 kilometers (i.e. can be completed on one battery charge), it leads through the beautiful villages of the Schmallenberger Sauerland and the vacation region Eslohe. With many interesting stops and rest areas along the way.

    Lenneroute

    Cycling along the Lenne...

Nature and recreation, culture and lifestyle along 150 km of the Lenneroute. Along the river Lenne from its source at Am Kahlen Asten to where it flows into the Ruhr at Hagen. Those who cycle along it "learn" a lot of interesting facts about the history and development of regional industrial culture, which has always been closely linked to the river itself.

Our tip: visit the castle Altena with the adventure elevator, which leads from the city centre directly into the castle courtyard.

    Ruhr-Sieg cycle path

    Cycling from river to river

113 kilometers with few inclines invite you to explore the area from Meschede over Eslohe, Finnentrop, Attendorn, Olpe, Wenden and Freudenberg to Kirchen. Along the way, you will come across two former railroad tunnels, the Biggesee and many attractive places and buildings along the way. This route connects the Sauerland with the Siegerland and the northern Westerwald and can be combined for longer tours with the RuhrtalRadwegthe Bergischer Panoramaweg, the Siegtal cycle path and the Sauerlandradring and the

    Kinderland cycle route

    The sporty family experience!

This very scenic cycle route invites sporty families to cycle approx. 52 km through the Schmallenberg region. Sauerland to cycle. If the little bikers run out of breath along the way, the route can be shortened as required at four intersections.

The map naturally includes the most beautiful playgrounds and miniature golf courses, which invite you to take an enjoyable break. Or you can stop for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants along the way.

    Renewable energy tour

    Discover. Experience. Understand.

You can learn a lot about renewable energies along this unique route. The 31 km long cycle path shows the real applications of renewable energies at 16 stations: Hydropower, solar thermal, photovoltaics, environmental heat, wood, biogas and wind energy. The function and mode of operation is clearly explained at each station. It leads via Inderlenne, Holthausen, Bad Fredeburg, Ebbinghof, Gleidorf and Fleckenberg with slight inclines. You can shorten the way back via the Lenneroute shortcut.
