Sauerland Museum

Felsenkeller Reiste

In the 19th century Reister beer was a household name in the region. On the Kenter farm, the family brewed it with fresh water from the "Rainspring" and their own hops and sold it by horse-drawn carriage in the surrounding villages. The "Felsenkeller", a former cooling gallery, which still exists today, is the last witness of the Reister beer era and can be visited today.

On request at the SGV department Reiste.
